Homework is an important part of student learning. It is an opportunity for
students to take responsibility for their education. Homework is handed out
on Fridays and is due the following Friday. It is up to you to determine the
homework schedule that works best for you.
-Homework will be written down in the agenda, every Friday, for the upcoming
week.
-Homework is taken for a grade.
-Homework must be turned in on the due date, except in the case of an
emergency (accident, illness, etc…).
-If an assignment is late:
The student will be asked to attend study hall during their recess to
make up the assignment. Study hall is not viewed as a punishment, but as
an opportunity to get caught up on missing work.
10 points will be taken off of every assignment that is turned in late.
If your child has questions about an assignment, please encourage them
to ask questions. I am always more than willing to answer any questions.
Reading:
Students will keep a Reading Log. Students are required to read AT LEAST 90
minutes a week.
Math Flashback:
Homework flashback sheets go home every Friday and are due the following
Friday.
Social Studies/Science Flashback:
A Social Studies/Science Flashback will be sent home every Friday and is due
the following Friday.
Other homework may be assigned during the week, please be sure to check the
agendas daily.
