Welcome to Cactus Ranch Elementary! I feel very honored to have the
opportunity to be a part of your child's first school experience!
Kindergarten is an exciting time of learning and discovery and sets the tone
for your child's lifelong journey in education.
This will be my fourth year at Cactus Ranch and my fifth year teaching. I
have been in Kindergarten thoughout my career and I am so happy to spend my
day with such wonderful personalities and limitless possibilities! I'm
looking forward to a great year! I am a 2006 graduate of Texas A&M
University.
My husband Tony is also a 2006 graduate of Texas A&M University and works as
a civil engineer at a design firm in downtown Austin. We were married in
December 2007. In December 2010 we welcomed our first child, our sweet baby
girl Emerson, into our family. We are very excited to begin the wonderful
journey of parenthood! My personal hobbies include working out, reading,
trying out new recipes, traveling, and spending time with my friends and
family.
I am really looking forward to getting to know you and your family. My goal
this year is to create a classroom family of life long learners. My desire
is for your child to become an independent, responsible Kindergartner who
loves to learn! As a parent I know you send me your very best child. I
promise to care for and teach them the way I would hope my own child would be
cared for and challenged. My hope is that the students in my class become
problem solvers who learn to welcome a challenge and see it through. I
welcome family involvement, and welcome the chance to work together to make
this a successful year. I look forward to being a part of your child's
education!

Favorite Lunch: Chick-fil-a (especially the original chicken sandwich meal
and a lemonade!) or Chuy's Nachos
Favorite Flower: Gerber Daisy or pink or orange roses :)
Favorite Dinner: Mexican or Italian food!
Favorite Restaurants: Maggiano's, Olive Garden, La Margarita
Favorite Dessert: a Snickers bar or cheesecake! (turtle cheesecake or
snickers cheesecake are my favorites!)
Favorite Drink: Chick-fil-a lemonade, Starbucks coffee Frappuccino, or a
Sonic cherry limeade drink
The children and I will work together to achieve our personal best both
socially and academically. We will follow the attributes of a Longhorn star
and we will work hard and play harder!
