Hello Honeybees and Parents! I am so excited to be teaching kindergarten at
Cactus Ranch. This is a fabulous learning environment and we are going to
be doing wonderful things all year. I am originally from Fayetteville,
North Carolina. I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill and taught kindergarten in
NC and Houston, TX. I completed my masters in Instructional Leadership from
Sam Houston State University this summer, and I am back in the classroom
where I belong.
My husband and I have recently moved to the area, and I am enjoying listening to live music around
Austin and working on fun projects around the house. We have one dog,
Elwood, who is a miniature dachshund. He loves being here and exploring his
new yard!
I know that we are going to have a great year. I love teaching kindergarten
and am so happy to have your child in my class. I look forward to working
with you to support your child's academic, social, and emotional development
throughout the year.
My mission for the year is to promote lifelong learners and positive
citizens for the future. I want your child to LOVE coming to school every
day. I will work hard to develop engaging activities that will grab your
child's interest and challenge them daily.
