My name is Shelley Nevin and I am so excited to share your first grade
experience! I have lived in many states, taught children with all sorts of
backgrounds, and have come to one conclusion, I love children. I love
teaching them, laughing with them and appreciating their similarities and
differences. I love their spirit, something I treasure and hope never to
break. I love their desire to learn new things and to observe the world all
around them. We as adults can learn so many things from them. I happen to
be blessed to do this daily here at Cactus Ranch Elementary.
I have found that I also value the parents of these wonderful children. They
are the foundation that the children come to school with, that we keep as a
foundation and work together to build upon. They are my partners in
educating these precious ones and I respect them very much.
My husband, Todd, and our four great children keep me busy in my spare time.
We like to keep busy traveling and playing sports. I love to read, eat
delicious Mexican food, and spend time with great friends.
