Behavior Expectations
We follow the Cactus Ranch
"HORNS" behavior model. All students are expected to be:
H - Honest
O - Orderly
R - Respectful
N - Neighborly
S - Self Disciplined
I have a color chart system in my classroom
that correlates with this model. It looks like this:
Green
- Great day! I followed the HORNS expectations.
Yellow
- I had a few warnings today about not following the HORNS Expectations - 5
minutes of reflection time at recess.
Orange
- I had several reminders about how to follow our HORNS Expectations - 10
minutes of reflection time at recess.
Red
- I did not follow one or more of the HORNS Expectations and my parents will
be called - No recess and study hall.
Blue Longhorn stars will be
given out when a student is showing exceptional HORNS behavior!!! They get to
be put in a drawing for treasure box!
