About The Teacher

SCHOOL PHONE: 512-428-7300 (general school number)

Hello Wonderful Parents,

Welcome to TAG at Caldwell Heights!! I am excited about a new
school year!
This will be my seventh year at Caldwell Heights. I love teaching in our
neighborhood school! This year, I begin my 14th year
teaching. I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, all-level
art and TAG.
I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelors of Science in
Elementary Education. I have since added TAG, Early Childhood, All-Level
Art, and ESL certification to my credentials.
I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. I have also lived in Rochester,
Minnesota, and Hillsboro, Texas. I have been married to my husband, Rodney,
for 24 years. We have three children. Benjamin is 16 years old and loves
all things music. He is a percussionist at Stony Point High School.
Nicholas is 13 years old and loves building, creating
reading and drawing. He is also a musician. His instrument of choice is the
bass (both acoustic and electric.) Megan is 10. She will be in fifth grade
this school year, which means that this is the last year one of my own
children will attend Caldwell Heights Elementary. Megan loves swimming and
reading books, books, books! She is probably also going to be a percussionist-
her brother, Ben, is working with her on both rhythm and melody. Megan is
thinking she will be a veterinarian when she grows up.

My passion in life, besides my family, is teaching! I consider it a
privilege to teach your child. I will create a safe, nurturing
environment for each student to explore, create, and learn. Know that each
student in my classroom is an important part of our class. I look forward
to watching each student grow and learn this year. I also look forward to
getting to know you. Together, we will make this a GREAT year!
