WELCOME TO YOUR SCHOOL
NURSE SITE!!
Illness
Students with temperatures of
100° degrees or more will be sent home. They may return to school when
fever-free for 24 hours (without an analgesic like Tylenol, Motrin or Advil). Please
call the clinic when you have a sick child and let us know the symptoms. We
keep track of infectious diseases in classrooms. Please notify the nurse
if there are new health concerns with your child or changes so that we can
deliver the best care possible for your child. If you have questions about
when to keep your child home from school, please contact us.
Please call the Nurses Office or our absent
line at 512-704-0707 if you are ill and let us know what your symptoms or
diagnosis is. We track illness in the school.
Information Update: It is important
that the registration form data be kept current. Please notify your child's
school immediately of any change of phone number, address, alternate contact
persons, or medical conditions. This is particularly of concern with regard to
contacting you in case of an emergency.
Parents of all grades:Your
child should carry a change of clothes in their backpack in case of clothing
accidents. You will be called to provide a change of clothing if needed. Thank
you for your assistance with this matter.
General Health: Please provide written
notification to the school nurse or health assistant if your child has
specific health problems.
Flu season will be here
before we know it. There will be close monitoring at school for signs and
symptoms of flu. It is important to report symptoms of flu and any confirmed
cases to me as soon as possible to avoid spread of this disease.
Spinal Screening: Wednesday, November
30th and Thurday, December 1st.
