My name is Rubi Flores and I am one of the two Dual Language teachers here at
Callison. I was originally born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and moved to
Texas when I was 12 years old. I received my bachelor’s degree in bilingual
education from Texas State University in 2004. I have been married for 8
years to my husband Abraham and we have two beautiful daughters Aly and
Abby. We love to spend time watching movies and playing tennis. I have been
with the district for 4 years. I also had the opportunity to be an ESL
teacher in El Salvador, San Salvador and in Oklahoma City for 2 years. Each
year is a new experience that allows me to continue to learn from my
students. My goal as a teacher is to provide each student with the
opportunity to reach their full potential. I have very high expectations for
all students and I encourage all students to reach their individual goals.
Mi nombre es Rubí Flores y soy una de las maestras bilingües de primer grado
en Callison. Yo soy originaria de San Luis Potosi, México. Ahí realicé mis
estudios hasta la edad de 12 años cuando mi familia emigró a San Antonio,
Texas. Me gradué como educadora bilingüe de la Universidad de Texas en San
Marcos en el año 2004 y desde entonces comencé mi trabajo en el distrito de
Round Rock. He tenido el placer de trabajar como maestra bilingüe por 6
años y cada año ha sido una nueva oportunidad para aprender a mejorar como
maestra. También he tenido la oportunidad de trabajar en El Salvador y
Oklahoma como maestra de inglés como segundo idioma. Mi familia se compone
de mi esposo Abraham y mis hijas Aly y Abby. Nos gusta mucho ver películas
en familia y jugar tenis por las tardes para divertirnos. Mi propósito como
maestra es preparar a mis estudiantes para que alcancen su máximo potencial
en su vida como adultos manteniendo las expectativas altas y motivándolos a
alcanzar las metas que se propongan.
Nuestra mision es educarnos y aprender todo lo necesario para triunfar en el
futuro cercano y lejano.
