We will be getting into the groove of reading every night for at least 15
minutes as soon as school starts. Your child will bring home a song book,
poem, or favorite book they have read in class every night. Please spend
time reading the material with your child. Let them tell you about what they
have been working on in class. In the beginning the books will not be exactly
on their level. They may either be easy or hard. This will change after
testing has happened and I know exactly what level they should be bringing home.
Please sign the "home reader" sheet to let me
know you have seen the book. This will be checked daily! READ! READ! READ!
Homework packets have begun coming home every Monday. These packets are due on
every Friday. All homework is concepts we have already covered in class and
your child should need minimum to no help! If there are questions please email
