Mrs. Hayes began teaching in 1976 in Idaho. She is a certified Kodaly
specialist who completed her graduate course work with a 4.0.
She has taught mostly Elementary Music, but she also loves teaching Middle
School Choir.
Mrs. Hayes enjoys seeing children have fun learning to read notes. Music
literacy is very natural for children. Her other passion is cross-
curricular lessons involving music.
Children have the right to understand music literacy, vocal production,
instuments, and music history. They have the right to make educated choices
in their own lives regarding performing and appreciating music. Music helps
people enjoy fun times and make it through the hard times. It is one of our
country's main exports in the form of CDs and sound tracks to movies.
Future generations deserve to maintain their quality of life with the aid of
music.
