I'm a native Californian and have been living in Austin for three years
now, and I love it! Austin has been especially kind to me and I love
the hospitality and charm of the people and the city. I'm glad to call it my
new home! I attended Penn State University where I studied psychology and
child development, then graduate from California State University Monterey
Bay with a B.A. in English. Needless to say, I love school! I've been in the
educational field for about 15 years and my Texas teacher certification
covers grades K-8, but my favorite grade has always been fifth! There is
something special to me about this transitional age. I have two adorable "fur
children" (miniature dachshunds), Linus and Liesel, who bring me great joy! I
enjoy practicing Bikram Hot Yoga, walking my dogs, traveling, and
snowboarding when I get the chance.
