Welcome to First Grade! I am thrilled to be your teacher this year. We
will learn more about each other very soon. Here is a little information
about me ...
Since my father was in the military, I grew up in different parts of the
U.S. I even went to Kindergarten in Germany! After graduating from high
school in Virginia, I earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Kansas
State University and a master's degree in Early Childhood Education from
Arizona State University. This is my 22nd year teaching school!
Most of my experience has been in Kindergarten and First Grade. I have been
teaching first grade at Canyon Creek Elementary since we first opened our
doors.
My husband Rick is an engineer and we have two grown children. I enjoy
spending time with my family, traveling to see my wonderful son and daughter
(as well as other new places), and reading. We have two pets: Max, a 12-year
old Maine Coon cat and Lacey, a Yorkie Shih-tzu mix puppy.
I am looking forward to an exciting year with your child!
