Welcome to First Grade! I am very excited to share this year with your
child! Here is a little information about me ...
I grew up in Baytown, Texas located 15 miles east of Houston. Upon
graduation, I moved to Austin and attended the University of Texas - Go
Longhorns! This is my tenth year of teaching first grade at Canyon Creek! I
look forward to getting to know each and every family in my classroom this
year. It is such fun facilitating all of the great learning that takes place
in First Grade!
My husband, Chad, and I both enjoy living in Austin. We love the many ways to
spend time outdoors. We have a wonderful 3 year old son, a beautiful
1 year old daughter, a bird named, Backpack, and a dog named, Tilley! Life
couldn't be better!
2011 - 2012 Mission Statement:
In Mrs. Riggins’ class we will practice reading, writing, math, science,
social studies, being a good friend, and listening to get ready for second
grade. We are problem solvers who try our best EVERY day!
