About The Teacher

I grew up in Sidney, Texas, population 250.  I graduated from Comanche High 
School in 1999.  In May 2005, I graduated from Tarleton State University  
with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a 
Minor in English and a Specialization in Reading.  I taught 3rd Grade at 
China Spring Elementary for one year, then moved to the Austin/San Marcos 
area.  It has been the best move I have ever made!

I have a 5 year old daughter named Landry Grace, a.k.a "Gracie".  She 
started Kindergarten at Kathy Caraway this year in Ms. Moody's class.  I 
also have a fiance named Jeff Presswood.  We will be getting married soon! 

I love to laugh, love, teach, read, sing, dance, travel, drive, and play 
Golf when I get the chance.  I also love wittines, loyalty, people who care, 
and animals (Black Labs particularly).  I DON'T love spinach, scarey movies, 
whining,  getting shots, and cleaning.

I Believe...

I believe that it takes 3 people to make an education successful:  the 
teacher, the student, and the parent.

I believe that learning should be fun.

I believe that a teacher's morals and values are reflected in their teaching.

I believe that teaching is one of the hardest jobs in the world.

I believe that even though teaching might be ONE of the hardest jobs in the  
world, it is THE most rewarding.  

I believe in rooting for the underdog and never giving up.

I believe in making the best of every situation.

I believe in MYSELF and my STUDENTS!
