About the Library

Library Rules

Be Safe -

Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself and WALK.

Be Kind -

Respect others and use a soft voice

Be Responsible -

When you browse, use a shelf marker.

When you borrow, return your books on time.

Be a Reader-

Read, Read, Read everyday!

Care of Books

1. Find a safe place to keep your book.

It should be high enough so that little children and dogs can not reach them by themselves. By using the same safe place you will be able to locate your books when it is time to return them.

2. Keep water, juice and food away from books.

Liquids and crumbs cause pages to stick together, tear and mold. Placing books and snack items together in a backpack causes the most damage to our library books.

3. Use a bookmark.

Please do not turn down the corners of the pages, bend back the spine or lay one book inside another. Bent pages tear easily and when book spines are broken pages fall out.

4. Turn pages from the outside corners.

When lifting the pages from the center of the book near the spine the weight of the pages causes more tears.

5.Keep crayons, pencils, markers and scissors away from the book.

Small children sometimes aren't able to tell the difference between a coloring book and a reading book.

Parent Check-out

Parents/guardians of enrolled students may check out additional books for their family. Stop in to fill out an application and you may begin checking out immediately.

Parents may check out up to 5 books and may keep them for 2 weeks.
