Professional

Education:
Mrs. Popov attended Anderson High School in Austin and then went on to the 
University of Texas at Austin and earned a degree in mathematics. 	


Teaching Certification:	 
Mrs. Popov is certified in dance, math, art and physical education. 


Teaching Experience:
Mrs. Popov began her teaching career at Reagan High School in Austin.  
There, she was director of the Double R Dance Team as well as taught dance and
math classes.  She also sponsored a break dancing club and was the cheerleader
sponsor for a year.  In the summers, she taught summer school math classes. In
2000, she became a director of the Tiger Dancers at Stony Point in Round Rock.
She has been teaching at Cedar Valley since 2007.  


Academic Achievements:
Mrs. Popov was a member of the National Honor Society at Anderson and 
received Trustee Awards for being part of the top 10% of her class.  At UT, 
she was part of the Freshman Honor Society and the p4m program for future 
math teachers. 


Dance Training:	
Growing up, Mrs. Popov took studio classes at Dancer's Workshop and then 
went on to become a member of the drill team, the Belles, at Anderson.  In
college she was a member of the UT Dance Team.  Since college, she has
attended many dance conventions and workshops. 


Dance/Choreography Achievements:
While in high school, Mrs. Popov was a two year officer of the Belles, 
received choreography awards, and won two solo competitions. While at UT, 
she was a three year officer of UT Dance Team.  She was presented with 
awards for Most Outstanding Officer two years in a row and also Most 
Dedicated Member during her junior year.  During her professional career, 
she has received many awards for her original choreography.  		


Personal

Ms. Popov is married and has an amazing little boy.  
 

She is very excited about her sixth year at Cedar Valley!
