Empty cereal boxes/cracker boxes. We use this lightweight cardboard for paper mache.

Cardboard scraps like from packaging from shirts, books, etc

Grading Policy
All Art Classes are graded Classes. Like acedemic classes Art Class has an ARRC (Aligned Round Rock Curriculum) & TEKS to follow.
Students are NOT graded on ability. Students are graded on following the objectives that are covered at the first of each project and are on Display for the duration of the entire project. However, the students who have Excellent talent are rewarded by having their artwork chosen for display and competition.
An Example of an Objective sheet:
Sketchbook Cover
1. 5 Different Elements 30pts
2. Writing about each Element on cover 20 pts
3. Unity, One Background Pattern 20 pts
4. Quality Coloring ( coloring lightly except where you are showing value and coloring in a circuliar motion) 30 pts
Total 100 points
