I have been married to my husband for 11 years and recently gave birth to
identical twin boys that were born in February 2009. I absolutly LOVE being
a Mommy. I have a cat named Jayden and had a dog named Nelly who passed away
in December 2008.
I graduated college with a BA in studio art from the University of Texas at
Dallas. I continually practice art in my personal life with the subject
matter of whatever my current life events might be. I have taught art for
eight years in the public schools and still enjoy every minute of it.
My philosophy of art and my mission is to enhance your child’s idea
of what art means to them as individuals. I believe each one of us is a
creative individual and my role as a teacher is to help each child realize
their potential in the area of art. My motto in class is that There are no
Mistakes in Art; instead you take what you have created and make it into
something else. Many great artists’ best accomplishments were from an idea
that they thought was a “mistake”. What we need to realize as individuals is
that this thought process is the beginning of a great idea, and I eagerly
look forward to encouraging your child to succeed with their creative ideas.
