MathCounts is a program for students interested in advanced math skills and
competition. We meet on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30-5:00 in the Lecture
Hall. Please bring a pencil, calculator (phones cannot be used as
calculators), and a snack. Members will solve between 5 and 20 problems in
the meeting. We will have a MathCounts School Competition in January to
determine who will represent our school at the Chapter Competition in
February. I am proud to say that our school has had students advance to the
State level of competition every year for the past 8 years.
Members should work on their math skills at home.Books can be purchased from
The Art of Problem Solving, which are excellent resources for learning
advanced mathematical concepts.
