Students received a new Reading Record and set their goals. Please be on the look-out for a purple sheet where they are writing down what they are reading. Remember that they should record every time that they read. So, even if they only read two pages, they should write it down. Never combine two separate reading times into one entry.
This six weeks we prepared for the STAAR testing and we are delving into persuasion. We will also be having a more intense focus on grammar to prepare for seventh grade STAAR.
We will also be spending some time on traditional tales.
Remember that the last three days of school are the days of the final exams. Please plan accordingly with your child to study for these exams, as they count as 10% of the final average.
