Coach Melonie Mills has been teaching physical education and coaching at the
middle school level for 30 years (26 of those at Chisholm!) She helped
develop the curriculum for Chisholm’s Outdoor Education program and has
taught OE for the past 10 years. She is a member of the state physical
education organization - Texas Association of Health, Physical Education,
Recreation, and Dance, where she has served as the Recreation Division
Chairperson. She has also been a member of the Texas Outdoor Education
Association since 2001 and served as the President of that organization in
2005. She lives in Lakeway on the golf course with her husband, Jim. Coach
Mills enjoys deer hunting, kayak fishing, camping, hiking and playing golf.
Outdoor Education provides experiences for students that will encourage
lifelong enjoyment of and an appreciation for the outdoors, wildlife, and
nature.
