Dear Students and Families,
Welcome! My name is Mrs. Lisa Brewer and I teach at the most amazing
school in all of Austin. We challenge the students to be problem solvers
and think at their highest level. I am a strong believer in attitude and
that children can be successful if they believe in themselves. My class
room is quite organized but always with the flexibility for those teachable
moments. This is my 23st year in education and I feel fortunate enough to
have found a job that I love. I am happily married to a wonderful Texas
Aggie (29 years)and we have 3 great children. Our youngest completed her
freshman year at the U.S. Air Force Academy and was on the Dean's list as
well as the Commandant's List, but she decided she would be happier as a
Texas A&M Aggie majoring in Aerospace Engineering/Russian last
fall. She happily made the crew team and the Dean's List as well. Our second
graduates from the Business Honors program at the University of Arkansas
after being recruited to play football
there in the fall of 08'. He is the back-up deepsnapper for the team and he
successfully made the SEC Academic Honor Roll every season too! This will be
his senior year.
Our oldest, proudly served in the U.S. Navy and is currently a student at
Texas A&M Galveston, majoring in Maritime Management with a minor in History.
He is a people person and is highly involved at the school. We are so proud
of our 3 children and the education they received from AISD!
Our family thoroughly enjoys this neighborhood and it's schools. (Our
children grew up in Circle C as well!). Based on my experience, I feel our
children (yours and mine) have and will receive a quality education each and
everyday. I look forward to an amazing second grade year ahead!
