Accelerated Reader is a motivational supplementary reading program sponsored
by Mrs. Tuttle, our fabulous librarian. Participating students read books
and then take on-line reading tests. Students earn points based on the
difficulty of the text and their resulting score on the test. Students may
take Accelerated Reading tests at school and home. Students who meet grade
level reading goals (75 points) will be recognized by Mrs. Tuttle at a
monthly reading assembly.

Third graders are also invited to participate in Mrs. Tuttle's Bluebonnet
Club. Bluebonnet Club members must read 5 current Bluebonnet books to vote on
their favorite book. Students reading 12 current Bluebonnet books will vote
and also attend a special reading celebration with Mrs. Tuttle. The deadline
for Bluebonnet membership is the end of January. A list of current titles
