Rules and Procedures

Homework

~~Homework is an important part of your child's learning process.~~
~~Homework and school work are the responsibilities of the child.~~
**Parents may help their children in these ways:

**Turn off the television so that your child may concentrate.

**Designate a time and place to do homework each day (preferably not their bedroom).

**Read with your child (yes, even at this age, they still love this time).

**Help your child get organized and stay that way (very difficult for this age, but a skill that lasts a lifetime).

**Don't overload the extra-curricular activities  (a tired child can not think!)

**Check the website daily for assignments and ask to see your child's completed assignment (they will rarely have time to complete assignments in class).

 Class Rules and Schedule

My conference period is 2nd  period.   I am always available to conference with a parent at this time.  Please feel free to email me at  Sherry.david@gcisd.net  - conferences at other times need to be scheduled through the school secretary.

I want my classroom to be a place of comfortable learning.  I want all of my students to know that I truly care about their success not only in my class, but in all that  they do. If they have a special event going on outside of school, I would love to hear about it or possibly attend.  Please let me know!

Ms. David’s Classroom Procedures may be accessed from World or Texas Downloads as a Word document.  Students will be given a copy of the procedure to take home for parent signature.
