Playbill is intended for highly talented, creative, and dedicated students.
All students are expected to participate in activities involving the class,
whether it is during or after school hours. All members of Playbill are
REQUIRED to maintain passing grades and excellent behavior. “No Pass, No
Play” applies to this class. If a student fails to maintain passing grades
or appropriate behavior, the student may be assigned alternate assignments
or immediate removal from the class.
In the fall, Playbill will be writing and producing a children’s show. This
show will be done by the students and performed for the nearby elementary
schools. This will be a MANDANTORY production and may require some after
school rehearsals.
During the spring, Playbill students will compete in the UIL ONE - ACT Play
contest. Participating in the UIL ONE – ACT Play is MANDATORY, and will
require some early morning, after school, and weekend rehearsals. We will
also be traveling to nearby schools for competition. For this show there
will be 13 – 14 actors and 3 – 4 crew members. Remember, a production is
not possible with out its crew! Crew members will consist of: Stage
Manager, Light Operator, Sound Operator, and Costume. At these events the
Playbill students MUST present themselves as professionals for we are always
representing the entire CTMS campus. More information will be sent home and
through e-mail as it is received.
I use e-mail as my primary way of communication for the Playbill Parents.
This ensures that parents are receiving the information and can also quickly
respond to me if necessary. Please list below the most convenient address
for me to contact you with.
I am looking forward to another successful year! Please do not hesitate to
contact me questions or concerns.
Thank you,
