I am only through 1st Block and I already have students who have not turned in thier project. This project was thier only homework and classwork over the week before the holiday. Since they should have viewed this as their homework over the week as I talked about in class, they should not have had to work on this over the holiday. I understand not being able to do it over the holiday weekend, as I spent the entire weekend with my family as well, but this was done in class. I provided all necessary materials for those who do not have construction paper, markers, etc. These projects are late and will be entered in the gradebook as missing test grades until I recieve them.

All Math 8 Students are working on a project this week. I am hoping that most students will be ready to present on Thursday. We are working on it in class and it is their homework for the week. They can present Thursday for 5 bonus points on the project which is a test grade. The project is due Monday 4/9 and is late if turned in on Tuesday and will be 15pts off; Wed. will be 30 pts off, etc. It will go on this six weeks report and will not be accepted after Friday.
Also we will grade pg.72-91 in our notebooks on Monday 4/9, so please make sure that you have it up to date!

All students will be recieving a grade sheet today with all of their assignments. This is the grade that will be on the progress report. There is an extra credit due today, and a signature from you is their extra credit for this week. Please sign that sheet and have them bring it to me by Friday.
Also, Staar test is tomorrow!
Please make sure they get plenty of rest and a good breakfast in the morning. They need to make corrections to their review packets from last week and look over thier interactive notebook to prepare.

Unit 9 Test on Thursday. This test is over similar figures, dilations, and different views. Correct your homework 4-3 and 4-3 part two to help study. We will review in class tomorrow. Also a review has been uploaded in the notes/homework section.

I would like to let every parent and student know that the majority of the Math homework was horrible. I talked to the history teachers and there was no homework due in history today- that means that Math was the only thing due today. I assigned SIX problems on Tuesday due today. These were six somewhat difficult problems, but I have tutoring Mon-Thurs. after school and Monday and Wednesday mornings. There was time to ask for help on your six problems of homework. HALF of my students decided not to turn it in at all. I appreciate those who at least tried and turned it in today. Infinite campus is updated with all grades. There will be an extra credit available tomorrow. I advise all students who recieved a low grade get an extra credit.

A brand new semester has begun! Everyone will be getting a new syllabus this week which will explain homework schedules and review requirements for the class. Parents and students please sign the updated syllabus and return it to me.

Also, we are in need of just a few supplies for the new semester. Bring a package of red pens for a free 100 which will replace any low daily/homework grade or just start off the semester with a 100. :)

The Calendar and Notes/Homework page have been updated with a few things that we will be doing over the next two weeks. Infinite Campus is completely updated and report cards will be sent home this week.
