| Please continue reading for at least 20 minutes each day. Don't forget to
get your reading log signed on Thursday night for the week. This will start
once Accelerated Reader starts and the library is open. Our district is
changing the Accelerated Reader program to a web based program. We have not
yet ironed out all of the kinks in the new system, and we are waiting on the
company to upload all of the students' names. Once this is complete, our
students will be able to check out books and start taking tests.
Whatever is not completed in class is to be finished for
homework. If your child is confused about an assignment, please do not
hesitate to call me. I will give your child my home phone number for that
purpose.
Parents, please ask to see their Homework Folder for work that needs to be
completed.
Student Planners are on sale in the office for $3. Your child's assignments
will be written in the planner daily.
Every Tuesday, students will bring home their "Take-Home Folder" for you to
view the work they did in class the previous week. Please take time to look
and go over it with your child. There is a signature page for you to sign.
If you have any questions regarding the work in the folder, there is a place
for comments and notes at the bottom of the signature page.
Every Thursday night, your child should be bringing home their spelling
book. They are to write their spelling words 10 times each from the weekly
lesson. It is an easy 100 and it gets them prepared for the test on Friday.
