Instructions for Students:
In order to better undertand what cultural and communal life was like in Europe before World War II, you will be finding photographs from that time period and analyzing them, as well as researching the town(s) where the photos were taken. Follow the assignments below in order, working at your own pace. All work is due as listed below.
Assignment #1, Photo Collection - Read instructions below BEFORE you start!!!
1. Research and print one photo that reflect life prior to the Nazi invasion using the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's Web site.
2. Search the collection of thousands of photos using key words (check the list you brainstormed in class). Once you have found one photograph you would like to use, right click, copy and paste it into a new Word document. Then return to the photograph on the Web site and copy and paste the date and locale of the Word document with the photograph. Do not include any other information, including the caption. Print it.

Homework (Monday Night):
Find a family photo at home that relates in some way to the one you researched. Bring the photo to class with you tomorrow.
