I have been a musician since I started taking piano lessons in the second
grade. In the fourth grade I learned to play the recorder and in the
seventh grade I learned to play the flute. As a music major in college I
got to play ALL of the instruments. I graduated with a music degree from
Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas and I have a
Masters in Music from the University of Texas in Austin. I have taught
music in Round Rock ISD for 15 years and I love teaching at Deep Wood.
I will help my students to learn the academic study of music, to learn the
many cultures and the history of music, and to learn the value music can
bring to their individual lives.
