Welcome to the Big Island

Early Release -100th Day of School
                                Wednesday, February 1st
Wow! Where did January go? Yes, that's right it's almost February and no sign of winter. Tomorrow is early release. Students will be dismissed at 12:45. Please plan accordingly as you always do. Last week Mrs. Risinger sent home a note about the PTA Chili cook off and our class will be making a pot of Chili- with your participation. Parents and families were asked to send in items for the chili. The cook- off will be this Friday, February 3rd at 6:30 PM in the Deepwood Cafeteria. The second graders will be singing that night as well. Please send in those items so our homeroom parents can get cooking and our kids can start stirring the pot:) Below are the ingredients in our chili.
1 yellow onion
can stewed tomatoes
can tomato sauce
can kidney beans

Please send in what you can, and thanks a bunch!
