What/When is maturation for 4th and 5th graders?

Maturation for our 4th & 5th graders is a one hour lesson on 
hygiene, cleanliness, and brief discussion on how to cope with
changes in puberty. Students are separated by gender for this
discussion.
Class is held during specials time May 11, 2012.

So many Immunizations are confusing-where do we go?

Bring your child's immunization record to the nurse office, we 
will review and assist you with obtaining required vaccines.

Can my child start school without current immunizations?

No, your child must be up to date or provisionally up to date to 
start. Check immunization section for recent updates.

I need to send medicine to school-what should I take to the nurse?

RRISD home page under Health Services-select Medication 
Permission Form; adult must give form to nurse with
prescription(with current physician label)/OTC medications
in original container; medications only be
brought to school by parent and returned home with parent.

If my child is ill when can they return to school?

No signs of active illness(cough, vomiting, diarrhea): No fever 
over 100 degrees for 24 hrs. and NO fever reducing medication.
(A child is still contagious even if Tylenol/Advil is decreasing
the fever or masking it).
If infection, the child should be on antibiotic for at least
24 hours before return. If questions always call the nurse for
more information.

Report to school nurse; go to CDC website below for latest 
information on treatment.
