Mrs. Rathburn was in the Business World for 20 years before pursuing her
lifelong dream of becoming a Teacher. This is my 6th year to teach and 4th
year at Deerpark. I was with Austin ISD for 2 years before becoming a
teacher at the best school in the world - Deerpark Middle School!
I have a wonderful husband named Scott and 3 grown children: Robin, Scott
and Natalie. I also have the most terrific grandchildren: Tyler is 7 years
old and Addison was born this summer. I have 2 precious dogs - Phoebe and
Betty. They are Shitzu's. In my spare time I love to read and spend time at
the coast fishing or relaxing.
BIM is a High School Credit class. The focus of the class is software
applications using Microsoft Office 2007. This course introduces
basic concepts and skills related to computer systems. Students apply
technical skills to address business applications using emerging
technologies. Special emphasis is placed on word processing, business
documents, presentation skills and desktop publishing during the first
semester. Databases, spreadsheets, numeric data and other computer related
technologies are emphasized during the second semester.
