I am so excited to be teaching Texas History. I believe that every student
should experience history hands on. History is such a wonderful subject; I
love how whether an event happened 20 years ago or yesterday it is always
significant. My students will touch, see, and hear history in my classroom.

Assessment: Along with the various methods of educator based assessment, I
advocate for student self assessments. I believe that children learn best
when they are encouraged to make their own meaning.
I am delighted to be teaching at DeerparkMiddle School. Deerpark has a
wonderful group of students and faculty who work together to make our
learning community better everyday. There are many different organizations
for students to become a part of at Deerpark and I know every teacher is
willing to help each student with their different needs.
