I am a 1981 graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University located in
Weatherford, Ok. I have a BS degree in Education. I have been teaching 28
years. I taught 2 years in Oklahoma before moving to Texas. Prior to my
current teaching position at Double File Trail I taught 2 years in a private
school in Taylor. Currently I am in my 24th year teaching at
Double File Trail. This is a new adventure for me teaching 1st grade this
year. The past 23 years I have been a K teacher!
I am married to Dan Walker, a Letter Carrier in downtown Austin. We have 2
daughters: Jenna a graduate of Texas Lutheran University and will be in her
4th year teaching at Canyon Middle School in New Braunfels. She is going to
be the Thearte Arts teacher!
She is married to our wonderful son-in-law, Tucker, who is the Sports Editor
of the Seguin Times Gazette in Seguin.
Tucker and Jenna are expecting their first child in Sept. This will be our
1st grandchild and we are so excited! I have been waiting to be a
grandmother!
Lindsey,our youngest daughter is currently attending ACC and working towards
her degree in education. While Lindsey is not in class she is a Nanny for a
family in Austin.
