How can I contact Mrs. Davee?
You can reach me in the classroom at 428-7443. I do not answer
the phone during instructional time, so please leave me a message
on my voice mail. If it is an emergency and you need to speak to
me immediately, please contact the office at 428-7400 and they
will get a message to me. You may also click on the e-mail link
on my website and send me an e-mail. I make every effort to
return your phone call or respond to your email as soon as
possible.
What if my child is going home a different way?
If your child will not be going home the way he/she usually does,
I will need a note from home telling me and the DFT office how
your child will be getting home. This is for your child's
safety, and I cannot put your child on another bus, or dismiss
him/her with the car riders or walkers unless I have directions,
in writing, from home stating that I may do so. **NOTE: If your
child's transportation needs change during the day, call the
office at 428-7400 before 2:00. Please do not call the classroom and
leave a message about this change. Often, I do not have an
opportunity to check messages until after school and if there
is a substitute in the classroom, he/she will not have access to
my voice mail.
Do I need a note when my child is absent?
Yes, a parent will need to write a brief note to let the office
know why their child was absent from school. That way your
child's absence will not be marked unexcused. Also, when your
child is absent from school, a parent or guardian will need to
call the school in the morning and let the office know that your
child will not be coming in. If the office does not receive a
call, they will try to contact you or your family at home about
the absence.
Can I send a treat for the class to celebrate my child's birthday?
Yes, we do celebrate birthdays! Feel free to drop by with the
treats or send your child to school with them. We will not be
able to enjoy the treats and celebrate your child's birthday
until after lunch. Cookies or cupcakes are
preferred treats! Please do not send birthday invitations unless
one is sent for each child in our class to avoid hurt feelings.
Can students bring games, toys, radios, cd players or a cell phone to school?
Electronic games, toys, cameras, laser pointers, radios, cd
players, pagers or cell phones are not permitted on campus at any
time, except by permission from the office at DFT.
What time does my child have to be at school?
The school day begins at 7:45 a.m. and ends at 2:45 p.m. Students
should be in the classroom and ready to learn by 7:45 a.m.
Students enter the class at the 7:40 bell. If your child comes in
after 7:55, they will automatically receive Tray 1.
