Many of you got a classwork assignment sent home to be corrected and
returned. I'm sure the grade came as a shock to many of you (it did to me
also!). We had watched a video about latitude and longitude and many
students came to the board to answer the questions. We also read about it in
our History Alive book and went over examples. When I passed out the
assignment, we did some examples on both the latitude and longitude. I know
this has been covered in previous grades but many students just didn't spend
enough time reading and thinking about the questions. I really appreciate
those of you that went over this with your child.
Please help your child at home come up with a routine to get their homework
completed on time, their reading logged in, and their parent's to sign the
behavior chart each and every day.
We are hard at work with trying to walk in the hallways where there are signs
indicated "0" noise level. Both Mr. Moore and myself have monitors to mark
when someone is talking or making unnecessary noises. The monitors are to
tell the students when they do give them a mark. The number of marks in our
class has been going down - that is great!
We are doing recycling every Friday and yesterday they did an excellent job -
ask your student about it!!!
