Officer Meeting 9/16/11
Officers met in F201 (Mrs. Griffith's classroom) from 3:50-4:30 p.m. We
decided to have the
rehearsal for the Induction Ceremony from 3:50 to 4:50 on October 7th.

-Olivia we be emailing Julie Monge regarding more Teen Court information
-Caroline will be emailing Michelle Douglas to see if she is available to
speak about the SPCA at a future meeting
-Mandy will make a sign-up sheet for snacks and drinks (Induction Ceremony)
Reminders:
- The practice for the Induction Ceremony is October 5th, 2011 from 3:50-4:50
p.m.
- At the first meeting we will be looking for a Historian
-Blakeney made a movement to adjourn the meeting and Caroline seconded it.
Officer Meeting 9-28-11
Induction Planning-Blakeney Latson, Caroline Rollins, Anna Rose Isbell and
Mrs. Griffith made the following decisions.
Caroline will give a speech at the beginning of the ceremony and Blakeney at
the end.
Blakeney will ask Dr. Faris to speak at the ceremony and Caroline will check
with Ms. Romig about student performed orchestra pieces.
Blakeney and Caroline are responsible for bringing the candles, candleholder,
and lighters to the practice and the ceremony.
All officers will receive an email today, 9/29, Telling them their
responsibilities at the meeting Friday and the Induction Ceremony next
Friday, October 7th. These instructions are crucial.
Officers present at the induction planning meeting and Mrs. Griffith will
tutor officers on their lines for the lighting ceremony during the induction.
All officers are expected to attend each meeting and the induction ceremony
unless they speak with a sponsor.

Group ideas:
Caroline Rollins suggested we make our group projects our main objective
(above individual)
We are participating in Relay for life.
Hannah Copley suggested we worked at the soup kitchen.
Alley Clark suggested volunteering for the Housing Authorities Ryan Petit
suggested helping the food pantry Madison Starret suggested helping the WFFA
Alley Clark also suggested volunteering at Main Gate
We came to a conclusion by majority vote.
One voted to help the Soup kitchen
Sixteen voted for the WFFA
Twenty nine voted to volunteer at Main Gate
We concluded to look further into Main Gate, and find more ways to help
endangered species. It was also stated that information about Relay for Life
would soon be sent out.
