Greetings from 6th Grade Language Arts!
A Gentle Reminder
When viewing your grades in Family Access, please remember that an asterisk means simply that the grades have not been entered yet. It does not mean that you are missing an assignment. If you are missing an assignment, it will show a zero.

Note:
Bring your spiral notebook to class every day. Bring your Writer's Notebook to class every day.
Writing/Grammar:
The study of grammar is cumulative and ongoing. We will study grammar as it relates to our syntax and writing skills. Using a writers' workshop format, this year we will emphasize writing with the objective of preparing our sixth graders for the sophisticated, comprehensive writing tasks they will face in grades 7-12.
Reading:
Ot next novel study will be Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie. Each student will need to purchase a copy of the book. Mrs. Green will have them for sale in the library very soon for the low price of $7.00. We will be annotating in our books and some of the reading will be done at home, so you must purchase your own copy of the novel.
