We had a great week learning about........
In reading we are reading about the amazing and hilarious adventures that
Maniac faces in a town called Two Mills and comparing those feats in our
research over Folktales. We also looked at synonyms and antonyms.
In math we finished our measurement unit over time, area, and perimeter. But
keep those analog clocks handy !
In science this week we talked about animal adaptations and inherited
traits. The students compared physical and behvioral traits among different
animals and even worked in groups to creat a New Species of animal. They
applied their knowledge of traits and habitats to build a successful
community for their animal.
In Writing we began writing our own TALL Tales. We talked bout exaggerations
and hyperboles to make our stories shine! Next week we will publish our
stories and create "mini-images" of ourselves.
