Spelling Activities
Task 1:
Cut out your words.
Sort your words in the pattern that is listed on your paper.
Write the sort in your journal.
Store your words in the ziplock bag in the front of your journal.
Task 2:
Sort your words a different way than you did for Task 1.
Write your new sort in your journal.
Write a sentence or two explaining your new sort.
Store your words in the zip lock baggie in the front of your journal.
Ideas for other sorts:
Number of letters in the words.
Number of vowels in the words.
Number of syllables.
Task 3:
Word Hunt - You are to look through your book and find 10 words that have
the same pattern as your words.
(eg. words with the same prefix pattern)
Task 4:
Glue your words in alphabetical order.
