My Philosophy

" A good teacher is first of all a good human being someone who in
personality, character, and attitude exercises a wholesome and in spring
influence on young people." (Author Unknown)

As a teacher,

I will...
*Provide meaningful and purposeful instruction.
*Promote a positive learning environment.
*Instruct students in hands-on activities.
*Engage students in various types of problem solving that lends itself to a
 higher level of thinking.
*Provide learner centered instruction.
*Communicate, listen and be patient.
*Above all enjoy teaching your child.

About Me...

I am a graduate of the University of Texas. I am a BIG Longhorn fan so
you'll see me wearing a bit of burnt orange during football season.I have
been teaching for 24 years with experience in Kindergarten, First, Second
and Fourth Grade. This is my 11th year at Forest Creek. Teaching is my
passion and I enjoy it! Sometimes, I feel like I'm the kid because I am
having so much fun teaching my students.
I feel that I have such close and strong tides to Round Rock because Roy, my
husband and I are both graduates from Round Rock High School plus we
both work for Round Rock ISD. I moved to Round Rock from Illinois when I was
12 with my parents, sister and brother.
Roy, my husband, was born and raised in Round Rock. We are very proud to be
part Round Rock for so many years.
Our son, Jonathan is following our foot steps of being a future graduate of
Round Rock ISD and living in this area. He is in 9th grade at Cedar Ridge
Highschool. When I am not at school, I spend time watching Jonathan play
baseball, and tennis. As a family, we enjoy putt-putt, bowling, playing ping
pong, monopoly, movies or just goofing around. I enjoy riding my bike,
doing "girlie girl" stuff, visiting with my friends & family, or shopping.
Another part of our family is our dog, Jack. I generally
have some adventure story to share about Jack to my class. He brings
excitement to our family. He can act like a little kid at times. He
keeps us on our toes. I do enjoy walking him in my spare time!
