Hello, my name is Roslyn Miller. I have been teaching first grade at
Cline for fifteen years. Before my children were born I taught fourth
grade for 16 years in the Clear Creek district.
My husband, Ed and I are long time residents of Friendswood. Ed is
retired from Lockheed Martin and spends his days caring for my mother. She is
a stroke victim and lives in her own house with my sister and nephew.
My sons went to Cline when they were small. They both graduated from
Friendswood High School. Now Andy is a junior at the University of Houston,
studying Computer Science and Allen graduated in May from the University of
Houston with a degree in Music performance (bass clarinet and clarinet) and
Mechanical Engineering. He will be working on a Master's Degree at Boston
University this year. He will be concentrating on Acoustics. Andy and
Allen are both musicians and played in the Band when they were at Friendswood
High School.
I love children and teaching. I look forward to meeting you and your
children. We are going to have a great year!
My mission is to take each child where he/she is and work with him/her,
and the parents, to help each child go as far as he can, not only in
academics but as a person; a member of a family, a class, and a
community.
