SRP and Dyslexia classes will start within the first three weeks of school. The classroom teachers do a
reading assessment at the beginning of the year to determine which students are in need of
supplemental reading assistance. If your child qualifies for the SRP reading program, you will receive a
qualification letter from me. Once you sign and return the letter, I will begin my groups. Reading
groups meet Monday-Thursday and I send home 1-2 books every night. Please make
sure they read their books EVERY night and return their books EVERY
day so that they get into a routine. We often re-read the books in class, so it is VERY important that
they return the books each day, even if they didn't get a chance to read them.
