What is Weekend Monkey?

Weekend Monkey is our class monkey (stuffed animal) that the students will get
to bring home as a guest in their home. Each child will get to spend one
weekend with the monkey and write in the journal about their wonderful weekend
together. The monkey will be sent home on Friday and needs to be returned on
Monday. Please feel free to take pictures of your weekend together to add to
our class album.

What do I do for my child if they are star student for the next week?

Please send in a poster with pictures of your child on Monday.
Your child will share their poster with the rest of the class and then it will
be displayed on the outside wall for the rest of the year. Then each day of
their star student week they are allowed to bring in a show-and-tell to share
with the class. The students are also allowed to bring in their favorite
snack to share with the class during the week if you choose to.
