Tuesday, October 13 : FRENCH MUSIC VIDEOS!!! Teams for our French bake-off will be decided and
planned out at the end of our meeting on 10/13.
Tuesday, October 20 : FRENCH PASTRY BAKE-OFF!!!
Tuesday, October 27 : TRICK-Or-TREAT FRENCH SCAVENGER HUNT!!!

Tuesday, November 17 : FRENCH CLUB THANKSGIVING DINNER @ LA MADELEINE, 4:30-5:30 or so...

QUESTION : So what's a FRANCOPHILE?!?!
ANSWER : A lover (or at least a "liker") of all things French!
If you fit this description, then think about FHS's French Club!!! You don't even have to speak French,
but don't be surprised if you learn some!
What do we do??? Well, you might be surprised that we DON'T sit around hunched over in cafés,
wearing the stereotypical black and white striped shirts, sporting berets and mumbling gibberish
about "stoopeed Amairicanzzz" while puffing away on imported cigarettes...Believe it or not, the
French really aren't snobs, and they don't really hate Americans. In fact, they're really quite
wonderful!
But I digress...
What we probably WILL do this year in our little French Club is EAT a lot of good, traditional French
food; WATCH French movies, SEE French art, have picnics, go on excursions, play games, etc.
Activities every month and Café Bavard too! Of course we'll need to have a few PARTIES as well
(Winter Fete, Mardi Gras, and our End-o-the-Year Bash). The driving force of everything we do will
be to expose ourselves to as much French culture and language as possible, so you know it'll be
good.
So what's keeping you? It's never not too late to join forces with the OUI BEASTIES!
