My name is Jennifer Gray and I am very excited about teaching French II-V again this year. 2009
marks my thirteenth year of teaching and I'm thrilled to be a part of the best school district around! For
the past twelve years, I've been lucky enough to teach French, Spanish, and Latin in FISD.
After spending some time as an exchange student in high school, I went on to become a proud
graduate of the University of Texas at Austin (1997) where I majored in French and Spanish. I also
attended the University of Houston where I worked on my Masters degree at the School of Education.
I've also traveled extensively throughout Europe in an effort to bring the very most to my students.
Aside from languages and travel, I LOVE art & music - whether making it myself, or just
appreciating it around me. However, nothing tops spending time with my friends and family. At
home, there are 4 of us - me, my wonderful husband Zeek, and our two "kids" - Sir Julien the dog,
and Cyrano the cat.
Students in all levels of French are expected to use the target language as much as they possibly can on
a daily basis and in a variety of formats - in and out of class. Reading, writing, listening, and speaking
are skills that will be exercised rigorously. In addition to this, students will be exposed to the many
cultures represented within the Francophone world.
