Classroom Procedures
Beginning of class -
When entering my classroom go immediately to your seat, put your things neatly beside your desk and begin working on your daily writing assignment. You will be counted as tardy if you are NOT in your seat. The late bell signifies that you are in your seat, with your material and ready to begin working.
End of class -
No matter when class finishes you will remain in your seat until you are dismissed. That means if we are running late I will finish as soon as possible, but you should not be headed for the door. Also, if we finish a few minutes early you should remain in your seat until the bell rings. No hovering around the door, please. Also , do not begin putting your material away when there are still a few minutes left, wait until you are dismissed. Please make sure your area is clear of any trash or personal belongings when you leave.
Bathroom Use -
Students should not ask to use the bathroom because you have seven minutes between classes, make sure to use that time wisely. However, I do understand that there are times that are unavoidable so the following applies:
· Do not ask to use the bathroom during a lecture or instruction.
· Never ask to use the restroom if we have a classroom visitor or speaker.
· Only one student allowed out of the room at a time.
· Sign out when you leave the classroom.
· Also, don’t forget to wash your hands!
· Finally, if I see that you are a habitual user; I will no longer allow you to leave.
