I graduated from Friendswood High School in 1979 - it was a little different
back then! I earned a BS in chemical engineering at Texas A & M University,
and I am certified to teach math and chemistry in two states. I like to think
that the time I spent in industry might better enable me to answer the
question, "Is all this stuff really useful?"
I've been married 28 years; after following my husband around the country and
abroad, I returned to teaching. I have two children: Amanda is a senior
majoring in English at Stephen F. Austin State University, and David is a
sophomore majoring in petroleum engineering at Texas A & M University.
I hope to share my love of math with all my students this year.
My goal is for every student to become comfortable applying math to solve
real-life problems. AP Calculus students will prepare for the rigorous AP
test, administered on May 9, 2012.
I hope to build character by providing students with opportunities to be
responsible and trustworthy.
