BCIS

BCIS I offers hands-on activities using Microsoft Office 2003.  The areas 
taught include Word Processing, Draw, Spreadsheet, Database, Internet, 
Desktop Publishing/Publisher and Presentations to help students in the 
workplace and those going on to college. The history of computers and the 
various components that make-up the computer including Input/Output Devices 
and the Operating Systems are taught as well.

This class is designed to put students into "real life" situations. Many 
students receive higher paying jobs after completing this course because 
they have a better knowledge of how documents need to look to be 
professional. Students attending college will be equipped to complete 
assignments

Keyboarding

Personal Keyboarding develops skill in touch control of keyboard characters 
and correct key stroking.  It also provides format instruction in the 
production of letters, reports, centered items, and enumerations.  
Keyboarding also includes skill development in proofreading, spelling, 
capitalization, word division, punctuation, and correction 
techniques.
