Mrs. Simmons is happy to begin her fifth year at Friendswood Junior High
School and is looking forward to a successful 2011-2012!
Texas History:
Originally from Louisiana, Mrs. Simmons has been a resident of Texas for 12
years. Before moving to the Houston area, she lived in San Marcos and
Midland. Mrs. Simmons' lifelong interest in history persuaded her to become
certified to teach the subject. She will begin her third year teaching
Texas History.
German:
Before moving to Texas, Frau Simmons lived and worked as a dental hygienist in
Lucerne, Switzerland, for 3 1/2 years. While there, she learned German and
traveled throughout Europe. Upon her return to the United States, Frau
Simmons earned her BA in German from the University of Texas at Austin and
has taught German for eight years.
